Fear Based End Times False Prohecy
Questions answered include:
What are the end times prophecies?
Basically many preachers / pastors preach that there is
- a millennium (1000 years) where Jesus reigns over evil
- that a rapture will occur taking all Christians to heaven to be with Jesus who will sit at the right hand of God.
- that a tribulation will occur. Some preach this is 7 years. Some preach this tribulation occurs after the millennium (post-millenium dispensationalists), some preach it will occur before the millennium (pre-millenium dispensationalists).
The study of the different interpretations of the end times is referred to as eschatology and is greatly discussed by Liberty Fellowship in this great message. (TODO)
This is just a simple summary as an introduction to the following topic of the false prophecies of the end times and why it is important.
Why are the end time prophecies false?
The people promoting these end time prophecies have missed two key elements in the new testament:
- there are no prophecies in the bible, old or new testaments, describing the end times and all prophecies of the bible have been fulfilled by Jesus and the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD, and
- Jesus clearly indicated the time of his second coming was not to be known by man since that is in the power of the Father. ‘And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. ‘ Acts 1:7
These people both those in the clergy / pulpits as well as those in the alternative news media all want to be the “first” to have their predictions / prophecy be realized and come true. They want to be the one who rescued you! They spend a great deal of time and research predicting when the end times will occur or at least that the end and the second coming of Jesus Christ is near. They are leading their followers to believe they know and that you are to know as well and that they are doing you a service by letting you know all the precise details of their predictions.
If Jesus stated “it is not for you to know” and these false prophets suggest that they do know, isn’t that not trusting of God/Jesus? Isn’t that calling Jesus a liar? I think so! It is clearly blaspheme! Just like John stated that if you state you don’t sin, you are calling God a liar. ‘If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.’ 1 John 1:10
And when you follow these false prophets, believing what they are saying, now you then develop the same belief – that you know! You believe what they are telling you and so you now believe that you know or will know very shortly when Jesus will come again.
Now you are being just a blasphemous as they are! They will suffer other more severe consequences, (2 Peter 2:1-5, list of references), but your salvation is in question with this level of blasphemy! This is the fear you should have! The fear that you are second guessing God, and instead of having the faith that you’re supposed to have you are trying to outsmart God, to act like God and to know what you should not know!
This is the exact same sin that got Eve in trouble, and got Adam and Eve thrown out of the garden of Eden. Eve was led to believe that she could know all that God knows. And her lack of faith is exactly what Satan triggered on!
Satan wants nothing more than to have masses of people calling themselves “Christians”, snugly believing they are saved, when in fact just because they believe we are currently in the end times, as Satan deceptively WANTS YOU TO BELIEVE, you lose your salvation.
If you study closely the evil plan of the satanists (globalist elitists) they are actually using Israel and the wars going on there as fulfillment of the false end times prophecy, so that you do develop this belief that the end is near! They want you to believe this because remember Satan’s main objective is to steal as many souls from God as he can!
Brethren, I beg you look at this objectively and use the discernment given to you in your conscience and by the Holy Spirit. Go to some of the sermons listed in this article from Liberty Fellowship. I have nothing to gain from you clicking on these links, and Chuck Baldwin has nothing to gain from you watching his free sermons. But you have much to gain by having an open mind, to learn the truth and to seek your salvation! Don’t let your soul be one of those, like Eve’s, stolen from God! Have faith in God and in His promise of salvation everlasting (meaning non-temporal, meaning Heavenly!)! And let go of the idea that we are in the end times.
End Times Prophecies Are Fear Based
All the tribulation based eschatologies focus on creating fear in the eyes of the believer. They talk about how horrible the conditions will be. They talk about taking the mark of the beast. They talk about how God commands believers to resist taking the mark of the beast. They talk about the Anti-Christ and how evil he is. They talk about destroying the evil.
All the promoters of these eschatologies are generating this fear, so that the followers (you) can get relief in knowing that they (you), being special and chosen, will be raptured (taken) up before all the tribulation so that they won’t have to suffer through it. A hope and degree of faith are generated in you, the believer, that you won’t have to suffer, that you will be raptured up and rescued from the suffering. But this is not the faith or the hope the scriptures talk about. It is a false hope based on faithless and unnecessary fear.
However, generating this fear accomplishes some major goals of the so called prophet:
- the prophet’s following (audience) grows! Sensationalism attracts attention no matter how truthful it is or is not.
- because of the growth in the audience their product sales (be it t-shirts, natural supplements, books, you name it) skyrocket.
- as their audience grows more “Christians” are sold on the end times story, more people research the scriptures (improperly I might add) and more fear is added to the narrative.
- their prophecy is self serving. Meaning they get the glory of warning the people of the end times even though this is contradictory to the scriptures.
What they fail to point out is that if Jesus intended to rescue his followers from tribulation, then he missed the 12 who were actually with him on earth. They also fail to point out all the tribulation in many other stories that are actually summarized in Hebrews 11. Read the whole chapter KJV!
The false prophets fail to show the examples of what is really ahead for true followers / ambassadors of Christ – persecution and probably a horrible death. All 11 of the original followers of Jesus Christ, those who were with him in person and considered his friends, ALL suffered and all were killed either by hanging, decapitation, or tarring and burning. Except John who survived his tarring and burning, and recovered on the island of Patmos where he wrote the book of Revelations.
What does faith have to do with the end times?
Hebrews chapter 11 shows many examples of someone using faith to please God and enduring suffering as a result.
‘By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter; choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward. ‘
Eve was deceived because she lacked faith in God’s words! Satan took advantage of this and played on her lack of faith.
The same is happening today with the end times false prophecies. If you believe any of these false prophecies, it shows that you don’t have faith that you can withstand the suffering that comes from standing up for God, just like Eve. She was weak in her faith. Believing that you will be whisked out of the tribulation before it becomes too much for you is a lack of faith!
If you truly want to follow Jesus you will not close your mind to this message. You will see it as an answer, a grumbling of your soul, a message from the Holy Spirit inside you that you need to increase your faith, to recognize that Jesus is with you always, and that your salvation is more important than any deception of false hope.
But wasn’t Lot rescued? And Noah too?
Yes! Lot and Noah and his family were rescued from God’s judgment! The book of Judges shows many examples of God’s followers (people of Israel – 12 tribes) being rescued by a particular judge who was willing to follow God’s commands.
In fact the whole old testament is about the many times the people from the 12 tribes were in sin and abomination, and God sent his judgment on them (aka – tribulation), and from that suffering, inflicted by God, the people then remembered God, and from that a judge or leader who has faith in God and allows himself to be commanded by God is raised up and leads them out of the judgment. This all happens here on earth, not in Heaven or in any celestial place as a rapture is described to occur. But here on Earth.
I’m not saying we won’t eventually get rescued. I’m stating because of the scripture:
“It is not for you to know…”
believing in the eschatologies and following these false prophets is contradicting what Jesus said. You don’t have the faith you need to not know. You and the false prophets are attempting to second guess God and attempting to act like God and know what God stated you shall never know!
When we ambassadors of Jesus Christ get back to our beginnings and recognize that there is a God and we ain’t him, then and only then will God raise up a judge to rescue us from the judgement that is currently falling on America and possibly on the world. God never gives an example of how many people need to return to Him in order for his judgement to be relaxed / repented. But for Jonah, he was only 1/3rd of the way through the city of Nineveh and Nineveh was 3 days walk from one end to the other, that’s how large it was. For Lot he was only one of ten thousand or so, who knows, it doesn’t say.
So if we aren’t in the end times, what is going on?
Judgment! God has had enough especially with America! America was founded on the principles of God and Natures God. The founding fathers all believed in God, even though they disagreed on different aspects of the bible and the religions each followed. But the basic principles were what united the founding fathers and it was upon those principles the Declaration of Independence was formulated.
Here are some good sermons from Liberty Fellowship that explain all this much better than I can here.
- The Days Of Noah And Lot
- America, What Does God Require Of Us That His Judgment May Be Removed?
- America, Repent! Turn To God, Or His Judgment Will Intensify
- We Celebrate: Liberty
- The Right Of Revolution
But suffice it to say that we are definitely under God’s judgment. And our path out of God’s judgment is for each individual to strengthen his/her own beliefs, faith, and discipleship. Once we reach a mass of true ambassadors of Jesus Christ, which is what existed at the initial beginnings of this country with the reformed colonists, people who are truly willing to follow the commands sent to you as an individual through the Holy Spirit to be commanded by God, then and only then will He relax His judgment on us, and deliver us from the evil, and rescue the remnant who believe and follow! Just as the scriptures show happened over and over again in the past!
So what are we who are True Ambassadors of Jesus Christ to do?
HAVE FAITH! Faith that Christ is with us through all the tribulation. Faith that our salvation rests in Him! Faith that our time with him will be everlasting not earthly and temporal. Faith that our brutal death and suffering has a meaning for someone else who may come to faith as a result. Faith that our suffering is for our Lord and savior and that God is glorious in ALL things!
Remember Hebrews 11:1 – ‘Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. ‘
Is there more information regarding the eschatoloties and support we are not in the end times?
Yes, Liberty Fellowship with Chuck Baldwin has some excellent sermons on these. Here is a list.
- An Overview Of The Primary Eschatological Interpretations
- When Did John Write The Book Of Revelation
- Antichrist, Antichrists, The Man Of Sin And The Falling Away
This is not a post about the eschatological theologies. This post is more about why the eschatology you choose to believe makes a difference in your salvation. If you believe God or Jesus will rescue you from suffering that is inflicted as a result of the judgment of God or rescue you from your standing up for God, then you are weak in your faith, weak in your commitment to God, and weak in your beliefs and understanding of the New Covenant. Again I direct you to Liberty Fellowship as the rod and staff of God to get you on a better track to salvation.
